Zhiang Xie graduated from Yunnan University with a bachelor degree in Atmospheric Science in 2014 and then studied in Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences until graduating with a master degree in Physical Oceanography in 2018. Since 2019, he has joined in Monash University as a PhD student working on the development of Monash Simple Climate Model. He is interested in includes a wide range of research topics such as the climate model development, statistic method and geophysical fluid dynamics.

My thesis will focus on the Ice Age simulation after including the effect of ice sheet. The project will introduce ice sheet scheme to simple climate model - GREB, which will help us understand the climate change and its possible mechanism relevant to the ice sheet.
