Margot joined the CCRC team in July 2016 after graduating from her PhD in early 2016 (Cerfacs, Toulouse, France).
She is interested in global to regional climate variability and change, with a particular interest in climate extremes: their underlying physical mechanisms and their evolution in response to global warming.
After studying the changes of the tropical cyclone activity in the southwest Pacific region and the changes in temperature extremes in Europe. Margot is now investigating the changes in variability and magnitude of precipitation extremes at the global scale.
She uses both regional and global climate models and a variety of datasets such as reanalysis products, gridded and station-based observations
