Biography

Paola is the data manager of the CLEX and previously of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Climate System Science. Before joining the centre she managed oceanographic and climate datasets for the Tasmanian Partnership for Advanced Computing (TPAC), acquiring extensive experience in web services and software used by the earth science research community. She received a PhD from the University of Siena (Italy) in 2005. Paola sets the centre strategy and provides advice on data management practices. She leads the data collaborations with our partners and NCI to manage shared data resources. She represents the CLEX in the CMIP6 technical and the Climate Dataset committees. An important part of her role is to publish CLEX data and metadata on public repositories such as the NCI data services, ESGF and ANDS Research Data Australia (RDA).
