Biography

Kimberley finished her PhD with CLEX in 2022 at the University of Melbourne. Her research was in understanding the impacts of Atmospheric Rivers and large-scale moisture transport over Australia and New Zealand, and their relationship with climate change. She began her postdoc in April 2022 at Monash University working with Prof. Julie Arblaster on tropical-extratropical interactions. This work will include evaluating the devastating east coast floods of 2022 and understanding the drying trend in fronts over southern Australia. She will evaluate how these tropical-extratropical systems are represented in weather and climate models and how we can improve their predictability.
