THESIS: Extreme Precipitation events in a Warming Climate

Changes in precipitation extremes are one of the most impactful consequences of global warming. The patterns of these changes have been studied on a global scale using climate models, predicting or simulating a globally averaged scenario. However, extreme precipitation has a much larger impact regionally than globally. This project aims at implementing climate models on a regional scale to investigate the impact of inter annual variability and SST patterns of changing precipitation patterns as well as the impact of warming due to increased pollution.
