Biography

Joshua is a PhD graduate (Meteorology) from the University of Queensland and Australian Bureau of Meteorology, who currently working with Monash University and the Australian Bureau of Meteorology to develop an open weather radar data set and research-grade hail algorithms. For his PhD, Joshua designed and conducted the Coastal Convective Interactions Experiment (CCIE) in an effort to integrate a long-term climatological analysis with field science to develop a deeper understanding of hailstorms in Southeast Queensland, Australia. Joshua has also worked a number of other areas, including paleoclimate, tropical cyclones, lidar and the energy distribution industry.
