Sarah holds an MSc in Chemical Oceanography from the University of Victoria, Canada, where she investigated the distribution of dissolved Cd in the Arctic Ocean and a BSc in Geology from Victoria University of Wellington. After finishing her MSc, she spent a year working for the British Antarctic Survey as an analytical chemist in the ice core group.
