PhD Mesoscale Wind Variability, Technical University of Denmark – DTU (2010)
Biography
Before moving to Denmark for her PhD, Claire worked at the Australian Bureau of Meteorology, first as a forecaster and then on a project to verify near-surface winds from mesoscale modelling.
Claire completed her PhD in mesoscale wind variability at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in 2010, and then completed a post-doc funded by the Danish Council for Independent Research, also at DTU.
Claire commenced as a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Melbourne in 2014, where she is working with analysis and modelling of tropical convection.
Her research interests include tropical variability and precipitation, mesoscale meteorology, mesoscale modelling and wind energy variability.
