Biography

After graduating from the University of Adelaide in 2021 with a degree in mathematics, a diploma in French, and a strong drive to be one of the people working to understand and mitigate climate change, Isabelle commenced their M. Phil. at UNSW in 2022. Isabelle’s volunteer experience with student clubs and societies, Amnesty International, and Peer Assisted Study Sessions has cultivated in them a passion for organising, a love for collaboration, and the ability to cold call literally anyone. Academically, Isabelle works within the Climate Change Research Centre and CLEX to apply mathematics, Bayesian statistics, and machine learning to improve our understanding of extreme hail events. Outside of university, Isabelle will read almost anything they can get their hands on, and loves music and op shops.
