PhD University of California (2015).

Dr. Negin Nazarian is a Scientia Lecturer at the Faculty of Built Environment at the University of New South Wales, focusing on urban climate research. Negin’s research targets microscale analysis of urban heat, ventilation, and thermal comfort through two main methodologies: 1) development of numerical models and urban canopy parameterizations and 2) employing IoT-based sensing, wearable technologies, and urban analytics for achieving human-centric assessments of urban climate. Before joining UNSW, Negin received her PhD from University of California San Diego in 2015 and later was appointed as a SMART Scholar at the Singapore-MIT Alliance. Since 2015, she has been a voted member of the Board on the Urban Environment at the American Meteorological Society and is also an advocate for women in academia at UNSW and worldwide.
