Biography

Dr Sami Rifai started his postdoctoral research position at the ARC Centre for Climate Extremes in 2020. He researches how Australian and tropical forest ecosystems are affected by aspects of global change (climate, CO2, disturbance). His recent work uses spatiotemporal statistical modeling of remote sensing data to examine ecosystem processes. Now at the ARC CLEX, he is working with the CABLE land surface model to simulate Eucalyptus forest responses to climate change.
