Biography
Sarthak completed his BS-MS dual degree in earth sciences from Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Kolkata. His MS thesis is primarily based on the topic “Indian monsoon precipitation variation; Role of Northern Indian ocean warming and increase in inter-ocean thermal gradient”. He received his final degree in June 2019. He is currently pursuing his doctor of philosophy under Prof. Christian Jakob in the school of Earth, Atmosphere and Environment, Monash University, Australia. His project mainly focuses on the Moisture Static Energy budget on precipitation variation.
