Graduate and honours opportunities
The Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Climate Extremes is a major seven-year initiative that brings together five leading universities and a suite of national and international partners. Our goal is to transform our understanding of past and present climate extremes and revolutionise our capability to predict them into the future. We are seeking the best and brightest global talent to help us realise this vision. We have positions available in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Hobart. You will have a scholarly background in a relevant field such as climate modelling, dynamics, physical oceanography, atmospheric science, hydrology, mathematics, etc.
When you come to work with us, you’ll get more than a typical post-doc. The Centre offers an exceptional environment to nurture and enhance your career. We offer a tailored researcher development program which includes workshops and seminars to improve your scientific, computational and writing skills. There are also leadership development opportunities and funding to enable you to travel between our nodes to enhance strong collaborative relationships with your peers and mentors.
The ARC Centre of Excellence for Climate Extremes seeks to be at the forefront of fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion, respect and wellbeing. All positions are offered either full time or part time.
