A joint submission from Centre of Climate Extremes and 21stCentury weather on Australia's national science priorities.
This is a submission to the Victorian Parliament into Climate Resilience. It contains a summary of climate risks to prepare for as well as recommendations for interpreting climate information. This submission is joint between the ARC Centre of Excellence for Climate Extremes and Weather of the 21st Century.
An ARC Centres of Excellence for Climate Extremes and for 21st Century Weather joint submission. The focus of our submission concentrates on the importance of climate science in assessing Australia’s international obligations of emissions reduction and Australia’s National Determined Contribution.
This submission concentrates on ‘developing a better understanding of global environment and climate science’, by informing the committee on the most recent developments in Antarctic research to demonstrate the importance of Antarctica to Australia’s national interests.
Amendment to the Climate Change Act 2022 to include the health and well-being of younger generations. Submission includes hearing from our early career researchers.
Inquiry into Act to establish guiding principles for action to address climate change; to set 2030 and 2050 targets for the reduction in net greenhouse gas emissions in New South Wales and to establish the Net Zero Commission.
Comment on draft priorities to set out the ‘what’ and ‘why’ for Australia’s science and research efforts over the next decade.
Comments on priority areas for recommendation that could generate change at a systemic level for inclusion and diversity in STEM.
The Federal Department of Health and Aged Care are developing Australia’s first National Health and Climate Strategy to ensure the nation’s health system can meet the needs of Australians in the face of a changing climate. Our submission highlights the need for climate science information to inform and understand the challenges.
