Agroforestry; a Real Adaptation Strategy in a Changing Climate

Come along and learn about the planning aspects of developing an agroforestry farm. Covering topics from planning considerations to carbon.

About this Event

In this farm walk, led by landowner Mark Walters, we will be discussing topics such as;

  • Social licencing
  • Government support
  • Management and harvesting
  • Code of Forest practice

Speakers include Chris Rankin, South Gippsland Shire Council speaking on planning considerations, Nerida Anderson, University of Melbourne, speaking on carbon sequestration in an agroforestry situation, and Jeremy Allen, DELWP Manager of Forest Regulation speaking on the Code of Forest Practice as it applies to private land.
