Coffs Harbour Workshop – Data and information for a changing climate: Contributing to improving the design, delivery and access to next generation NARCliM projections

6 November 2019 - 7 November 2019

Spring Workshops

Data and information for a changing climate – Improving future natural hazard data for infrastructure, communities and services

Do you use climate data and information in projects or assessments and need better access, products or services?

Do you need climate data products and maps for evidence-based decision-making and want to know whether the right information is available?

Do you need to communicate or educate on future climate or natural hazards information and require straightforward access to relevant material?

If you answered “yes” to any of the above, you may be interested in a FREE workshop series to improve the design, delivery of, and access to soon-to-be-released climate and future natural hazards data and information. Workshop outcomes will be integrated into the next stage of the NARCliM regional climate projections which we are enhancing.

We invite you to complete an anonymous survey that will inform the workshops. Click here to complete the survey.

The Climate Research Team of the Science Division, Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE) invite you to attend one of the workshops, to be held in October and November 2019 in Dubbo, Wagga Wagga, Coffs Harbour and Sydney to:

  • Get updates on current and upcoming climate data and information, and how to access it.
  • Connect with industry, government and service professionals to discuss examples and case studies of how climate and natural hazard data are used to assess risks and impacts to infrastructure, services and communities.
  • Share your experiences, needs and challenges as a climate data user or specialist and have your say on how to improve the design and delivery of climate data, information and products.

We encourage you to attend either one day or both days if you use climate and natural hazard data and information, irrespective of which sector you represent.
