Mr Maheshinderjeet Garg

Maheshinderjeet joined as a PhD candidate at the University of Melbourne. He worked as an Associate in GIST Advisory Pvt Ltd, India. He developed methodologies for natural capital valuation to account and internalize the externalities of the companies into their portfolios. He holds a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from IIT Bombay, India and bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from PEC University of Technology, Chandigarh, India. He has worked on air pollution emission measurements. He specialises in air pollution modelling and emissions inventory, water and wastewater treatment technologies, solid waste management systems, LCA, EIA and GIS.

THESIS: Role and impact of anthropogenic air pollutants from Australia mainland on the Southern Australia and the Southern Ocean.

Mahesh focus is on the impact of anthropogenic air pollutants from Australia's mainland on Southern Australia and the Southern Ocean. The research focuses on improvement of the air emission inventory of Australia including emissions from coal-fired electricity generators. In particular, he will use WRF-CHEM simulations to determine the impacts of anthropogenic air pollutants.
