School of Earth Atmosphere and Environment
Monash University

Corey is currently completing his Honours year for a Bachelor of Science at Monash University. His undergraduate coursework includes majors in atmospheric science and applied mathematics, as well as a minor in computational science. He is particularly interested in extreme weather events and atmospheric dynamics, with his project being a study of the 2019 North Queensland floods.

THESIS: Synoptic Dynamics of the 2019 North Queensland Floods

This topic directly analyses a recent example of an extreme climate event. The results of this study should provide insight into the dynamics of extreme rainfall events in the tropics, thereby making such events more easily predictable into the future.
