Biography

Hailing from the Latrobe Valley where coal fired power stations are often visible on the horizon, the effects of human behaviour on the Earth have always been of great interest to Ashley. After completing a BSc at Monash University and Honours in applied mathematics at the ANU, he has started a PhD with ANU's Research School of Earth Sciences. The scope of Ashley's work is in developing and applying the latest generation of Australian coupled Ocean - Atmosphere models to processes in the Southern Ocean and/or Antarctica.
