Biography

Isaac is a postdoctoral researcher working with Dr. Gabriel Abramowitz in the Climate Change Research Centre at UNSW. After completing a BSc majoring in ecology, Isaac completed his PhD at the University of Queensland, studying the annual wildflower understorey of the York gum woodlands of southwest Western Australia with the aim of understanding how spatial variation in microsite conditions influences species diversity in such systems. Following his PhD, Isaac was a postdoctoral researcher working with Dr. Daniel Falster in the Evolution and Ecology Research Centre at UNSW, where he conducted empirical and modelling work to understand the eco-evolutionary mechanisms by which plant trait variation emerges across moisture gradients. In his current position at the Climate Change Research Centre, Isaac is working on technical upgrades to modelevalutation.org as well as exploring biases in the diurnal signatures of land surface models using the PLUMBER2 dataset.
