Biography

Liam completed a Bachelor of Marine and Antarctic Science with Honours through the University of Tasmania in 2021. During his Honours year he performed an evaluation of the ACCESS-AM2 aerosol simulation scheme by comparing climate model output against in situ observations from a range of vessel and station-based sources. After graduating he worked in the Australian Bureau of Meteorology Aviation Service Development group as a scientific software engineer working on improving verification methods for aviation forecasts. In July 2023 he began his PhD at the University of Melbourne, looking at atmosphere-sea-ice interactions in Antarctica.
