Biography

Mathilde graduated from her undergraduate studies at the University of Melbourne in 2021, with a double major in Atmospheric Science and Applied Mathematics. Mathilde has been working as a student scholar and research assistant in atmospheric sciences since 2019. This year, Mathilde is completing her Honours year in Applied Mathematics at Monash University, working on developing a neural network approach to improving multi-layer cloud identification over the Southern Ocean in passive satellite data. Mathilde's research interests are broad, her main passion is using her strong technical and mathematical skills to tackle problems in weather and climate science.
