Biography
Anupiya Ellepola, hailing from Sri Lanka, completed his B.Sc. degree in geology at the University of Peradeniya. He then completed an M.Sc. in Engineering Science at the University of Mississippi, USA, with a special emphasis on geology. During his master's studies, Anupiya piqued a strong interest in utilizing satellite remote sensing for modeling Earth phenomena. This led him to start his Ph.D. at the Australian National University, where he joined the Climate and Fluid Physics group. His Ph.D. research centers around ocean dynamics and satellite remote sensing data applications.
