obert completed his BSc and MSc in mathematics at the University of Bonn. In his studies he focused on discrete mathematics and numerical analysis. After graduating, he switched his research path to earth system modelling. He is currently a Joint PhD candidate at the University of Melbourne and at the University of Hamburg in cooperation with the Max Planck Institute for Meteorology.
