The past four months have been incredibly busy with a new research brief structure, big changes in social media, and a mainstream media takeover likely to have significant ramifications for our communication of research.
Over four years, the Norwegian Polar Institute’s (NPI) Ocean and Sea Ice team used the social media handle @oceanseaicenpi across Instagram, Twitter and Facebook to communicate its research to peers and the public.
The foundations of our outreach program are now almost all in place for the Centre of Excellence for Climate Extremes. Our website is in place, social media is close to becoming more active and already Centre researchers are featuring prominently in the media.
