At the time of writing, four of our five nodes are in lockdown. In the meantime, we have refreshed the researcher development program, postponed our winter school (again) but still created a range of engaging sessions and workshops for students and ECRs.

Welcome to all of our new students. We have held two inductions since our last newsletter and in both we had more than 20 new students dial in. Many of you are still offshore, however we are starting to hear of success stories when it comes to travel exemptions for international students.

Steefan Contractor attended the ARCCSS/CLEX winter school from June 25-29, 2018. The theme of the school was climate extremes. It involved lectures in the morning on various climate extremes (such as heatwaves and rainfall extremes) and also a group activity in the afternoons.
