At the time of writing, four of our five nodes are in lockdown. In the meantime, we have refreshed the researcher development program, postponed our winter school (again) but still created a range of engaging sessions and workshops for students and ECRs.

This study aims to evaluate the air temperature data crowdsourced from such sensing units, Netatmo’ citizen weather stations (CWS), used at multiple locations around Sydney area and analyse its application for monitoring the urban climate in this region.

Climate change will affect prescribed burning days in the future. Unexpectedly, it is not all bad news, but as the coming century progresses there are definitely changes ahead for our firefighters in Australia when it comes to preparing for a fire season, especially along the east coast of Australia.
